We have several hospital wards at the main practice, general surgical, diagnostic imaging, feline and feline recovery, both the feline wards are upstairs away from noise hustle and bustle. Though we are not able to separate our canine and feline patients in the waiting area we do when in house as much as is feasible.
Our surgical facilities consist of two main operating theatres, a feline operating theatre for routine work, and a treatment room for minor procedures and dental work.
A separate Diagnostic imaging theatre for Radiography and ultrasound gives us greater flexibility with outpatients.
We are a general practice and do not offer specialist surgical facilities, where advanced surgical techniques need to be used or specialised equipment we recommend that our patients are transferred to specialist facilities on the mainland, generally this is at Anderson Moores in Winchester or Fitzpatrick Referrals in Godalming.
Medina Veterinary Group has over the years forged close links with two of Southern England's most outstanding referral practices, the world renowned Fitzpatrick orthopaedic and neurology referrals, lead by Noel Fitzpatrick based
south of Guildford, and Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, a multi-disciplinary referral practice covering medicine, soft tissue surgery, imaging and orthopaedic referrals based in Winchester. We are proud to have been associated with both of these hospitals right from their inceptions.
If we feel there are better facilities available for your pet elsewhere we will discuss these with you. Additionally we also understand cost can be unfortunately a restrictive factor when discussing referral services and we will do our best to procure the best services available for your pet, though will discuss alternatives and cost related options.
Due to the very nature of our work there are many areas of interest within veterinary medicine and surgery.
At Medina we endeavour to work as a team giving the greatest breadth of support that we can, we do not hesitate however from recognising expertise of colleagues to obtain the best advice.
Please call 01983 883 955 at all times, outside opening times our answering machine will give out the number of the veterinary surgeon that is on duty at that time.
Please note that this number will vary and to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you always call the practice number.
